Using this training and these materials
Last updated 13 September 2026
This site hosts the security awareness and HIPAA training that Comodo Technology provides to the practices it supports, along with free guides, tools and printable handouts. These terms explain who may use that material and how.
Who owns this
Everything on this site — the training modules, the quiz questions, the videos, the guides, the interactive tools, the printable handouts, the wording and the design — is the original work of Comodo Technology and is protected by copyright.

What your practice may do
If your practice is a Comodo Technology client, you and your staff may use all of this material for your own internal training and compliance, for as long as your agreement with us is in place. That includes:
- Completing the training and keeping the completion records and certificates it produces.
- Printing the handouts and posting them in your office.
- Showing the videos to your own staff, including in a staff meeting.
- Keeping copies of your own completion records for your HIPAA documentation and for your insurer or an auditor.
What is not allowed
- Republishing, uploading or sharing any of this material outside your practice — including on a public website, a social network, a file-sharing service or a video platform.
- Downloading, re-recording, screen-capturing or redistributing the videos.
- Selling this material, or including it in a service you sell.
- Removing or altering the Comodo Technology name, logo or any notice on it, or presenting it as your own or another company's work.
- Sharing a sign-in link or account with anyone else. Each person has their own, because the completion record has to show who actually did the training.
This material is not licensed for use by other managed service providers or IT companies, whether branded as ours or as your own. If you would like to license it, write to hipaa@comodotechnology.com — we are open to the conversation.
Accuracy, and what this is not
We keep this material current and accurate, and it reflects the HIPAA rules and California law as we understand them. It is training, not legal advice. It does not create a lawyer–client relationship, and it is not a substitute for your own counsel or your own compliance programme. Completing this training helps you meet the HIPAA workforce training requirement; it does not by itself make a practice compliant.
Your account and what we record
To issue a certificate and give your practice a training record, this site stores your name, your work email address, the practice you belong to, your role, which modules you completed, when, and your score. That record is deliberately permanent — it is the evidence your practice needs.
No patient information is ever entered into or stored by this site. Sign-in is by emailed link, so there is no password to store. Your practice’s administrators and Comodo Technology staff can see your completion record. We do not sell or share it with anyone else.
Availability
We aim to keep this site available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, add to or reorganise the training as rules and threats change — in fact we will, because training that never changes stops being useful.
